It has been awhile since my last blog post I know, but with not much mothy mutterings to write home about, I have used this time to finally complete my records for last year and get them sent off to the top man.
I have however caught moths this year already, despite the horrendous downpours, strong winds and now sub-zero temperatures and sleet.
On the 3rd of January I caught a single Winter Moth using the Actinic, and on the following night a Chestnut.
The things went very quiet and I have now had 4 blank nights since then on various dates.
I will keep trying with the Actinic for the time being, probably switching back to the MV in March.
All the best.
