Canvey Wick by day

Decided to do some day netting for anything I could find.

The weather was warm and partly sunny with a stiff SW breeze which made it difficult in some areas to net the disturbed moths.

I managed a very pleasing list of moths and Butterflies.
Butterfly highlights included several sightings of Marbled White, Essex Skipper and Small Heath.
Moth highlights included new moths for me Aethes tesserana, Grapholita compositella and Pammene aurana.

My only annoying moment was when I faffed and missed a Red-tipped Clearwing! still it's a new one for me, just without a photo.
