Latest garden catch

Well Tuesday turned into Thursday night and I bothered to fire the trap up once more to see what was flying.
Unfortunately not much, numbers continue to drop and despite relatively mild conditions of around 8 degrees last night the trap wasn't brimming, in fact there were just 3 moths inside! But luckily a further 14 moths were found on the sheet and on the walls and fence.
New for year was a rather large Mottled Umber which I haven't photographed yet as it has been too dark so a picture of last year's example will have to suffice.

  1. It's a pity that you didn't manage to make photos in darkness. Though this one is very good. Like the one I described at writers-house.com a couple of days ago. It was an actual free installation of moths.
