An incredible December

It is nearly the end of December and we are still attracting reasonable numbers of moths which is incredible to say the least.
Most nights recently have not dropped below 10 degrees and with the last few nights having minimal wind, the trap was switched on again using the twin 40w Actinic.
Most notable were Double-striped Pug and Spring Usher

Double-striped Pug is my latest record ever by two and a half months (previous latest 09/10/09).

Spring Usher is my first December record and follows a recent trend by other people reporting early emergences up and down the Country.

Last night I was pleased to add a third latest ever record, a single Plutella xylostella.
