Garden Catch 18/07/18 - Trying to keep up!

An absoluely astonishing list for my garden of 96 species was recorded on the 18th of July, with at least 11 new for year species added to the running yearly total.

Of note were...

The conversaria form of Mottled Beauty, only my 3rd ever.

Acleris emargana, only the second garden record and first seen in 2014!

Argyresthia semitestacella, still an uncommon moth in the County, but seems to turn up in my garden on a near annual basis.

Ectoedemia decentella, tiny and very pretty, not common here.

Best moth of the night, was a tentative Tischeria dodonaea, which will be dissected for confirmation.

Garden species count for 2018 now upto 390.

Here are the new for year species.
