The consequence for all this warm weather? Well we shall have to see how this year pans out.
Cold nights have been the flavour of the month, with no nights above 7c by the morning, in fact most have been between -2c and 4c, not ideal for moths but this hasn't deterred a good selection of species to take flight and find my trap, numbers are also up somewhat on average.
3 recent catches have yielded only 2 new species for the year, and a further two daytime finds.
Garden species count for 2019 now upto 24.
