Garden Moth Trapping - 01/06/21 - Opportune June?

Lets hope so! This year has been terrible, it can only get better.

A few more year listers on Tuesday night as we start 'Flaming June' as it is affectionately known.
We've now nearly lost the moon over night as it wanes towards the horizon and reduces in size.

Numbers still very low for this time of year, but we are still running around 2 to 3 weeks behind last year.

The first of no doubt many, Large Nutmeg & Setaceous Hebrew Character showed their furry heads for the first time in 2021.

Moth species for 2021 in the garden now stands at 75.
