Garden Trapping - Fordham - Cambridgeshire - 30/08/21

A much reduced catch of around 80 moths of 31 species on Monday night, but a further 6 species were added to the garden list despite temperatures dropping to 10 degrees, and feeling rather fresh in that cool North-easterly breeze.

Highlight of the night was a beautifully marked Garden Dart, with it's slender appearance and 'over-sized' antennae. This isn't a common moth for me, and only my 5th in 16 years.

The weather is apparently set to go warm, hot even. This is it, this is the last push for a good catch!

Moth garden list stands at 74 species.

Only new for year species listed below.
