Another couple of varied catches from Sunday/Monday night and with mild nights not dipping below 12 degrees, moth activity has been steady and with a large array of new species showing up.
Although it was evident that Monday night was milder, the amount of micro species was incredible, with 29 logged and just 15 macro species in comparison.
Highlights over the two nights was a completely new moth for me, and two of them! Platyedra subcinerea. Both were very different forms.
I was also really pleased to get three species of Celypha (with lacunana already on the garden list) cespitana and rosaceana were new.
Scrobipalpa ocellatella is also a nice looking Gelechid, and seems to do well in the Chippenham/Fordham area.
Worn moth of the night went to a Cloaked Minor... they all count!
