Warmest night of the year but a bit blowy!

You can't have it all can you, but a minimum of 15 degrees here in Fordham was stupidly mild for the time of year and inturn the moths were plentiful in the garden trap.

A really good catch with plenty of surprises, the biggest was a completely new moth for me, the apple feeding Callisto denticulella, a little rough around the edges but I can't be picky!

Other great species were a Lobster Moth, the really nicely marked Pseudoswammerdamia combinella, Lychnis and the skittish Aproaerema anthyllidella
I seem to also have a healthy population of the nationally scarce Platyedra subcinera, with 6 over the house walls.

32 species was very pleasing indeed, with 11 of them newbies for 2022

One moth is outstanding, I think it's a worn Mobochroa species. I did consider Scrobipalpa but it's quite small, i've retained it just in case.
