Clear (wing) success!

Since the 23rd of July I have deployed 7 Clearwing lures in my garden, plus a Prays oleae one.

On that first day I had 3 species turn up to 2 different lures, which was very pleasing indeed.

Below are my findings so far, and the relevant lure used and what was attracted to it.

Unfortunately my Red-belted Clearwing had persished by the time I got to it, another tonight however flew out before I could pot it.

The Raspberry Clearwings are all coming after 6pm, up until 8pm!

I've probably missed the boat a bit with other potential species, so will give them a few more weeks and then freeze them ready for next year.

Moth garden list for 2022 stands at 570 species
