Raining cats and dogs (Quite literally)

A stonking male Puss Moth and a ratty old Common Pug were new additions to the year list last night.

I particularly like the dark feathered antennae on the Puss Moth, what a good looking moth it is.

 

I'm lucky I see these quite commonly here (I had 9 last year) owing to plenty of Willow and Aspen within the village (The latter also good for Lead-coloured Drab & Clifden nonpareil).

 

There wasn't much else, but when you are getting a trickle of new moths, it doesn't matter so much.

 

It was also a lot cooler last night, dropping to 7 degrees under clearing skies.
