Quiet night

A rather quiet night on Monday, with just the one new moth for the year and what a cracker. The hot pinky flushed Small Elephant Hawk-moth, my little boy loved him! He said that it has mummy's favourite colour (pink) and my favourite colour (green).

A smart dark Turnip Moth also warranted a photograph, and some action at the lure traps also, with Cydia pomonella and Grapholita funebrana to their repective scents.

The night was fairly mild at 10c but with a keen breeze from the East again.

By Friday we should see the wind swing round to the South-east and on Saturday it looks to be the warmest day of the year.

Moth garden list for 2023 stands at 183 species
