Had a trip to a private wood in Huntingdonshire just a few days after my holiday, I was exhausted to say the least, but it was worth it!
Not a huge amount of moths but we got what we came for, the White-spotted Pinion.....all 14 of them! it's a cracking looking moth and looks like nothing else with it's rich chocolate brown forewings.
Other good species of note were loads of Magpie Moths, Black Arches and the rarely seen August Thorn.![]() |
