Wrapping up the year from the start of November until Christmas and beyond

Here are some catches from my garden trap from the last two months, not a great deal to report.

All of the usual suspects were added to the year list, starting with December Moth on the 3rd of November then Mottled Umber on the 09th and Scarce Umber on the 14th with Winter Moth the last (So far) species of the year on the 01st of December.

I've omitted one particular species, as I feel it needs a special mention.
A Juniper Carpet trapped on the 04th of November was not only a first for my garden, but a first for my mothing career that now spans 12 full years of recording.

I'm still running my twin actinic trap on warmer nights in vain hope of a few species that are missing from garden list this year....Grey Shoulder-knot isn't on it yet this year, Dotted Chestnut has never been recorded in 6 years and the most outside chance of a Black-spotted Chestnut is always at the back of my mind!
