Most expected species turned up all on one calm and warm night, the wind during the day had dropped and it had been warm and with highs of 21 degrees.
The minimum this morning read 11c... that doesn't happen very often in April!
I chose to set-up the big 250w clear, and i'm glad I did. Was it the perfect conditions that spurred the moths on, or was it the 'god of all bulbs'? I will never know.
This whole week looks pretty favourable, but a little cooler until we get to Thursday.
Pine Beauty and Engrailed were added to the garden year list
Garden species count for 2020 now upto 36.

58 moths last night, really good. With two Water Carpet which are scarce in our borough.
ReplyDeleteWell done Edward. Water Carpet isn't on my garden list here.
