Now being back to work, as my furlough scheme comes to an end, I have less time for moths, so will just be listing the new for year species as I really haven't got the time and effort to count 10's of Heart & Darts!
Green Silver-lines is always a belting moth to get, so vibrant and I was pleased one was waiting for me in the trap.
Sloe Pug was the pick of the 5 new for year's, it was new for my garden only last year (And since this record, I recorded 3 from Ashwell Quaary on Saturday night, a real hotspot for them. I've never failed to catch one there, around this time of year).
I also had two Cydia nigricana turn up to my splendana lure trap (and 2 more today whilst at work).
It's not a common moth in my light trap, with 2 records over 8 years.
It just goes to show the power of a daytime lure!
Garden species count for 2020 now upto 197.
