A great catch

Finally, I got a Blue Underwing!
My first last year was on the 27th of August, so it was great to get one last night, running a bit late? or having a bad year locally? Who knows.
For comparison I got 13 last year in the garden!

Other highlights were a fresh season first Chestnut, and a second new species for the year, a Beaded Chestnut.
A rather large Cochylis was potted up, which turned out to be a really large dubitana (with thanks to Anthony Wren for double-checking) it's a female so this explains the monstrous size.

21 species was very pleasing indeed for late September.

Moth garden list for 2022 stands at 637 species
