22 species were recorded last night in my garden, a few were on the house wall, some on the fence, but most were in the trap.
A warm night indeed, with lows of 15 degrees!
A great variety including a further 2 Merveille du Jour, 2 Dark Chestnut and 3 potential mirants, White-point, Plutella xylostella and Nomophila noctuella, the latter two I haven't seen for a few months now.
The best moth of the night was a new one for the garden, a Large Ranunculus. It is the 680th species for the garden.
Tonight looks too cold to bother.
Moth garden list for 2022 stands at 655 species
